Apple’s developer finally released an update for its popular Remote app. Not only work on iPhone and iPod touch, the Remote 2.0 now adds the support of iPad. The app is also optimized for iPhone 4’s Retina Display

The Remote app is one of my all-time favorite iPhone apps. Since its first release, I installed it on my iPhone and simply love it.

Developed by Apple’s developers, the app lets you control iTunes remotely using iPhone over WiFi network. Imagine you’re lying in bed and listening to music playback from computer. Now you want to skip the current song and change to another. Instead of changing it right in front of the computer, you can just keep lying in bed, spawn up the Remote app and pick another song using iPhone.

Cool, right?

Remote Control Your iTunes Library

The app allows you to access the whole iTunes library including music, movie, iTunes U, TV shows. You can also access the playlist and create a new one right on the iPhone. Needless to say, you can adjust the volume of the speaker.

Apple TV Support

The updated app now supports Apple TV and you can remotely control it using simple finger gesture. If you use Airport Express, the app even lets you control iTunes to send music to AirPlay speaker.

iPad user, You’ll Love the Upgrade

For those using iPad, the Remote app is fully optimized for the device. It takes the advantage of the large screen real estate and presents an interface that is very similar to the desktop iTunes.

I highly recommend you to upgrade to Remote 2.0. If you haven’t tried it out, go ahead and click this direct iTunes link to download it. Does I mention it’s completely free?

As always, we love to listen to your feedback. Just leave us comment below and share your thought on the app.
