Samsung has been touting its "Media Hub" service for some time as a quick and easy way to rent or purchase videos for viewing on your phone. The app is currently in beta, and should be available for Galaxy S devices shortly after the Epic 4G lands on Sprint at the end of the month. SlashGear got a preview of the app and several interesting pieces of info came up in their video.
It was unclear how the app would make its way to the phones; the Sprint demo guy said that it would be handled by Samsung. Also mentioned was that videos could only be streamed when on Wifi (on all carriers) or in 4G coverage on Sprint. Samsung will let you "register" up to five devices to view Media Hub content, so one could assume you will be able to watch rented or purchased videos on your home computer as well. Check out the full video past the link; a couple more interesting tidbits of info await you (plus that amazing Super AMOLED screen). Video after the break. [via SlashGear]
