Photogram for iPhoneThe App Store has hundreds of mobile photo apps, most of them launched by startups – each claiming to provide the best user experience and most value to users. Earlier this month, I reviewed Batch – an innovative iPhone app that claims to be the ‘simplest way to share an album, or batch of photos directly from your phone.’ A couple of days back, I reviewed Postale – an app which lets you create gorgeous postcards on your iPhone. And finally I found a single app – Photogram which does what Batch and Postale do together.

In fact, Photogram has been around for a long time now. It launched in June and within a week, it reported 100,000 downloads. Developed by Timelines, Inc. the USP of Photogram is that it lets you share multiple photos via email, Facebook and Twitter – all at once.

Once installed, Photogram prompts you to enter your name and email address for registration. You can then add a photo in order to complete your profile. Using the app is fairly intuitive, you can click + to add photos and – to remove them. You can set a message, choose a theme and then identify recipients with whom you’d like to share the photos.

The best part about Photogram is that it’s easy to use for the sender and the receiver gets a beautiful and appealing postcard.

You can choose from a variety of themes that will surely come in handy in the upcoming holiday season.

Photos can be shared on Facebook, Twitter as well as across recipient ‘groups’. So, if you want to send photos regularly to a bunch of people via email, create a group and Photogram will send it at once to all of them. The best part –  recipients do not have to register for a Photogram account to view the photographs.

Despite all the impressive features, it would be a long shot to compare Photogram with Instagram. None the less, it’s a simple and easy to use app for sharing multiple photos quickly with a bunch of people. And just in case I didn’t mention it earlier – it comes at the best possible price – Free! So download it via this direct iTunes link.
