While Skype will soon release the iPad version of its Skype app, Fring has just rolled out its signature video chat app on iPad. Like its iPhone version, the Fring for iPad supports 4-way video chat. Yes, you can chat with 4 friends face-to-face at the same time.
Back in April, Fring released the first iOS app that supports group video calling for iPhone. You can line up to 4 participants and have a 4-way video chat between each other. Now you can do the same kind of group video chat on iPad 2 but with a bigger screen. It even comes with a fun drag and drop navigation.
Fring is cross-platform app. So you can video chat with friends using iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and other smartphone platforms such as Android and Nokia. It works over 3G, 4G as well as Wi-Fi network. Provided you subscribe to an unlimited data plan, you’re free to make unlimited video call with any Fring users in the world.
Other than the video chat feature, Fring also lets you talk, chat and send IM with your buddies on multiple social networks including Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo! IM and AIM for free.
Fring is now available on App Store and completely free for download. If you own an iPad 2, go ahead and check it out.
