Evernote for Android gets Notebook Stacks, Snippets view and styled text

Evernote for Android gets Notebook Stacks, Snippets view and styled text
Evernote for Android has just reached version 2.6, which introduces several new features, including a compact Snippet view, Notebook Stacks, and faster syncing. You can also now paste and edit styled text from your Android device, instead of going back to your desktop to make your notes look the way you want.

The Snippets view strikes a balance between fitting as many notes as possible onto your Android device's screen and providing the most useful information about each note. You'll see the first few lines of text from each note, and notes with images get thumbnail previews. Although the Snippets view is meant to be perfect for Android phones, you can still switch to the older views if you prefer.

Notebook Stacks have been around in the Windows and Mac versions of Evernote for a while now, and they're one of the app's most useful features. Now Android users can group their notebooks for easier navigation, which is especially important for mobile users. In fact, the Evernote blog recommends creating a "mobile" stack, for the notes you need on the go.

There are lots more bug fixes and improvements, too, so head to the Android Market and update your Evernote to 2.6! Also, check out the video after the break for more on the new styled text features in Evernote for Android.
