Many iPhone users have been enjoying the Skyfire web browser since November and a lot of people have been patiently waiting for an iPad compatible version.
If all goes well Skyfire should be available for the iPad very soon, perhaps before Christmas which is a good possibility according to a Skyfire spokesman. The iPad version of Skyfire has been submitted to Apple and is currently awaiting approval.
So why is this browser being anticipated so much? Main reason is the fact that it converts Adobe Flash video to iOS friendly HTML5 video on the fly. That alone is a huge plus for iPad owners. Skyfire for iPad will also have a few built in social networking goodies such as Twitter QuickView and FireplaceTM Feed Reader which displays your Facebook feed.
If this app is approved for the iPad it’s expected cost will be $4.99. Keep an eye out in the app store for this one!
Below is a preview/demo video for Skyfire which gives you a better understanding of what this app is all about.
