Crestron is one of the leading providers of control and automation in schools, homes, hospitals and offices. Crestron primarily provides touch screens & keypads for the control of lights, temperature, music, educational products, shading solutions, etc. but its assimilation with Siri has proven to be an excellent endeavour. Early in 2011 Siri (SiriProxy) was used just to control lights and web enabled appliances but it just either turns that thing on or off.
Crestron however, has managed to make significant improvements in this and updated its hardware to a breathtaking variety when one can control his house with the voice recognition. Those who prefer to have more automation in their lives and are willing to pay a huge chunk of money, Crestron is the ultimate choice. Without compromising on quality the touch screen pad and synchronization of an iphone 4S make the controlling of your house as easy as giving a simple voice command.
Here is the video of the concept.
Lights can now not only be turned on or off, but also you can set the exact illumination, for instance; one wants the intensity of 65%, and Creston will do just that.
Siri proxy could only turn the thermostat on or off (either of the two extremes), but this software allows you to set the exact temperature; thanks to Crestron. This provides you the maximum possible comfort.
The most appealing part of this new system is controlling a home theatre with the voice recognition. Turning it on, setting up a movie, changing it to another screen/channel and setting the music/volume to any fixed percentage with voice is an exhilarating experience.
Crestron’s amalgamation with iDevices is not the first for its kind. There are certain official apps available on the iStore for the iPhone or the iPad that also can control some of the devices.
