The Internet has eliminated boundaries with regards to expressing your views.  The blogosphere has allowed everyone to have their little soapbox to express their views for people to follow, tweet about, and discuss.  Personally, I am a closet introvert.  I don’t have that much I wish to share about, so I have avoided starting any sort of Blog (personal or otherwise) despite encouragement from friends.

For those that are avid (or not) Bloggers, there is a good chance that they use (or have used) Blogger – by Google.  It is great news then that Blogger is now available for the iPhone and iPod for blogging on the go.

Installing this App will allow you to publish posts with attached pictures, location information, and labels. It also allows easy switching between accounts if you have multiple accounts. You can view a list of published or saved posts. After writing, you can either choose to publish it immediately or save it as draft.

Using the App

Upon firing up the App, you can sign into your Blogger account or create a new account.  Once you are logged in, you get to the screen where you can write your first post.

With Blogger, Google keeps it simple with 3 buttons.

Blog – Here you can write, tag, attach photos (from camera or library), and location

View Blog – this is where you view what you have posted.

Settings – Here you can switch to a different account, set the size of image you wish to post, or sign out.

Blogger App for iPhone

Here is the official rundown on Blogger’s Features:

  • Post pictures from your device’s camera roll or pictures you’ve just taken using your device
  • Add labels posts
  • Add location information
  • Save a post as draft or publish immediately
  • View a list of all your saved or published posts
  • Switch Between Blogger Accounts

The line is definitely blurring between Blogger and other Social features like Google+ for single paragraph posters like myself.  For now I think I will stick with my semi dormant Google+ account unless I have more to share.

But if you have a blog on Blogger, do check out the official Blogger app which is free for download!
