The iOS 5 is now still in beta and only available to registered iOS developer. For most of you, I believe you’re still using iOS 4.x (or even lower version). When you want to create a photo album and organize your photo, you have to rely on iTunes.

So is there any way to create photo album right on your device before the official release of iOS 5? There is always a hack for that.

PhotoAlbums+, which was released in last Nov, is a hack that lets you manage photo albums and organize photos right on iPhone and iPad. No iTunes is required. All you have to do is to install the hack and it tweaks the built-in Photos, enhancing it with album management. Here are some of the great features:

  • Add new photo album right inside the Photos app
  • Move photos and videos between albums
  • Delete photo albums
  • Password-protect your private photo albums

Even for the upcoming iOS 5, you’re not allowed to protect your album with password. The Photoalbum+ hack already lets you create private albums and protect it with a password. So you got some secret photos? Just create a private album and assign the photos to that album.

Photoalbum+ is a great hack. If you can’t wait for the release of iOS 5 and wants to manage photo album right on your device, the Photoalbum+ hack is highly recommended. The hack is now available on cydia store for $6.99. It is compatible with both iPhone and iPad running iOS 4.x.
